Engagé.e.s et solidaires: Ensemble pour l'égalité et l'inclusion
Why This Project Matters
Context:
The Chrëschte mam Sahel – Chrétiens pour le Sahel Foundation (CPS) is a member of the consortium “Engagé.e.s et solidaires: Ensemble pour l'égalité et l'inclusion” (“Committed and United: Together for Equality and Inclusion”), coordinated by Handicap International Luxembourg and also involving the NGO PADEM (Programme d’Aide et de Développement destinés aux Enfants du Monde). The consortium brings together complementary expertise in the fields of inclusion, human rights, child protection, education, and the fight against inequalities.
The programme “Engagé.e.s et solidaires: Ensemble pour l'égalité et l'inclusion”, implemented over the period 2026–2030, aims to contribute to the development of a more inclusive, supportive, and human rights-based society in Luxembourg. It addresses challenges related to inequalities, discrimination, and situations of vulnerability or disability.
The consortium recognizes that many people share the values of inclusion and solidarity, but that understanding the mechanisms of exclusion and translating awareness into action often remains limited. The programme therefore seeks to strengthen knowledge, encourage engagement, and support sustainable civic participation.
CPS has implemented several annual awareness-raising projects since 2007, co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. In 2016, we started to orient our work more towards development education. In the years 2017 and 2018, we added North-South interdependency aspects as well as proposals for individual action. We want to continue in this direction, relying on the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Expected changes:
The programme contributes to three long-term changes:
