World Toilet Day: A Vital Issue for Health and Dignity

Journée mondiale des toilettes

Safe sanitation services are essential to protect us from disease and maintain a clean environment. Yet today, countless people still lack access to safe toilets, clean drinking water, and adequate hygiene conditions. The most vulnerable – especially women and girls – are the hardest hit.

Access to sanitation is a fundamental human right, indispensable for living a healthy, dignified, and productive life. More than just a convenience, toilets are a cornerstone of public health and gender equality.

Accelerating and scaling up action to ensure safe toilets for all means advancing sustainable development and human rights.

Our Foundation is fully committed to improving access to sanitation and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation for All.
