World Rural Development Day

Capitalisation PAPACCER-42

Rural communities are at the heart of global food security. They produce 80% of our food while facing poverty, food insecurity, and the impacts of climate change. Investing in rural development means strengthening the resilience of families, creating sustainable economic opportunities, and promoting community stability.

This vision lies at the core of the work of the Fondation Chrétiens pour le Sahel, which supports rural populations through agricultural projects, access to water, training, support for cooperatives, and the development of income-generating activities. By strengthening the capacities of local producers and improving their access to resources and markets, the Foundation helps transform challenges into opportunities.

On this World Rural Development Day, let us remember that supporting rural communities means building a safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable future for all.
