World Development Information Day

Sustainable development is a collective and interdependent effort. An important part of our mission is to mobilise public opinion to achieve global development goals and support development policies.

We need to raise public awareness of:

1. The interdependent nature of global challenges and the impact of our choices here in Luxembourg on the people of the Sahel.
2. The imperative to support developing countries in order to accelerate their economic and social progress while respecting the environment.

Our work in Luxembourg: Global Citizenship Education

Through its work in Global Citizenship Education, the Foundation Chrétiens pour le Sahel is taking concrete action in Luxembourg. We work with students and the public to:

• Actively promote the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which set out the roadmap for a more just and sustainable future by 2030.
• Encourage a better understanding of North-South relations and foster commitment to international solidarity.
