International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we remind ourselves that our mission goes beyond simply providing aid: it is about restoring dignity and giving everyone the opportunity to build their own life.

Poverty is multidimensional, which is why the Fondation Chrétiens pour le Sahel and its local partners take a comprehensive approach. We work for sustainable development in rural areas of Burkina Faso and Senegal, focusing on:

1. Food Security and Income: The heart of the rural economy. We work to improve agricultural production techniques to ensure sustainable livelihoods.
2. Quality Education: A fundamental pillar for empowerment and breaking the vicious cycle of poverty.
3. Clean water and hygiene : Essential for dignity. We facilitate access to clean water and promote hygiene practices to improve health.

By targeting these key areas, we are actively contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Sahel.
